Need to organise a Spanish Will but can’t get to Spain?
This is not a problem.
Here is what we will do:
Take your instructions over the phone
Send you your drafts to approve – which will be in Spanish and English
Once you have approved your Will we will contact your local UK notary
You will either visit them or they can visit you
They will notarise your Spanish Will and get an apostille which is attached (see our section on apostilles here: https://thywill.es/apostille-services
They will then courier the documents to our Uk head office from where it will be securely sent to Spain
An application letter and certificate will then be drafted and sent to the Wills registry in Madrid
Once registered we will receive the original document back from the Land Registry and will store it securely for you until you are next in Spain when it can be collected from us or you can keep it in secure storage until it is needed
We will need a copy of your passport and of course your NIE number
The typical fee per Spanish Will for all of the above to take place is £600 including IVA where you see the UK notary in their office or £700 including v.a.t. if the notary visits you at home.
