UK Parliament supports the assisted dying bill.
The vote has happened, and it has ended in favour of supporting the assisted dying bill.
The votes were 330 for and 275 against.
The vote was held after an extensive debate in the house of commons yesterday.
The bill can now be scheduled for further debate in the house of commons next year and must then be passed through the House of Lords.
If the bill does become law, Britain will join the likes of Spain Canada, New Zealand, and the majority of Australia and US states such as Washington Oregon and California.
Currently in the UK, if you assist someone to die, you can be sent to prison for up to 14 years and actually conducting euthanasia itself on someone is considered either murder or manslaughter.
The passionate debate on this matter, with proponents for and against with very valid and well considered arguments, is set to continue voraciously for a long while yet.
